Myanmar Photography Tour 1

Tour Duration : 10 Days – 9 Nights

Myanmar is a country steeped in ancient cultures and deep Buddhist belief. This tour will take you to some of the places that best represent that wonderful and unique mix, as well as some scenic highlights, including the thousands of temples on the plains of Bagan; the ancient capitals that surround Mandalay; and the beautiful Inle Lake, high in the Shan hills.

Day 01: Arrival Yangon by Morning flight

Your photography guide and driver will pick you up from the airport and drive you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to adjust to the jet lag.
If you feel energetic, you can spend some leisure time wandering around your hotel and begins followed by your first photo shoot at Shwedagon Pagoda . Overnight at the hotel in yangon.

Day 02. Fly to Inle Lake. Explore Inle Lake

In the morning, we fly to Heho and reach the gateway to Inle Lake – the town of Nyaungshwe. On our first day here, we explore the town and its outskirts featuring a visit to a lively local Mingala market. On this day, we also do our first boat trip exploring the unique life on lake Inle. We focus on numerous workshops where we will learn how the Burmese roll cigars, weave silk and lotus, process silver, and simply carry out daily routine tasks on the lake.
Perhaps we get to meet some women from a long-neck Padaung tribe. These will be incredible photo opportunities for more portraits as well as documentary photography. Overnight at the hotel in Inle.

Day 03. Indein Excursion

After Breakfast, visit to the Floating Market; which is a 5 days rotation system Market where the tribes from surrounding villages come to buy and sell their goods. As it is a rare opportunity to see, please be sure to capture that activity.Then, visit Indein village; the hidden treasure of Inle Lake. It is Shwe Indaing pagoda complex that is newly open to International travelers where one will be totally amaze of ruined stup as from 13” century. On the way, you will enjoy the nature beauty on the way like vegetable gardens, child and young monks (novices) enjoying their morning bath in the clear stream, water buffaloes and people among the paddy fields etc. It is a photographic highlight for today.After a nice stroll among the ruined pagoda, return to hotel. On the way, visit the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda. Overnight at the hotel in Inle.

Day 04. Inle Lake – Bagan ( By Car)

After Breakfast, we will Drive to Bagan upon arrive Bagan drive you to your hotel. After Sunset photos of the temples of Bagan. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan

Day 05. Magnificent sunrise and sunset over Bagan’s Pagodas

Imagine that you are flying over mountainous landscape, enjoying the views from a place high above the peaks. Now imagine a miniature version of beautiful brown mountains over a large expanse of land, and what you have there is Bagan. Over 2000 temples or pagodas are squeezed into the plains less than a 100 square kilometer, many of them seen in dense packs rising over the green plains when you watch from the top of a tall pagoda. While some are of historical significance and some have continued to be places of worship, they make a magical visual as a collective during sunrise and sunset hours. If there is one thing that we would pick as the ultimate experience of Myanmar, it is the view of sunrise and sunset over Bagan. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

Day 06. Magnificent sunrise and sunset over Bagan’s Pagodas

Here comes one of the most impressive scenes of our workshop. Photograph a stretch of typical Bagan scenery featuring over 2000 temples and pagodas spread out over a vast plain with dozens of hot-air balloons wandering in the sky. Bagan looks best at sunrise and sunset, and frankly, these are the times when we will experience its sheer popularity with visitors.
If time allows we will organize here another unforgettable photo session focused on work with natural light with monks posing right in the temples. There will be also opportunity to do the famous balloon flight during the sunrise. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

Day 07. Drive to Mandalay.

Today is a day for inter-city travel through Myanmar’s countryside. We begin after breakfast and make the easy, five-hour drive, stopping at will along the way. Upon arrive to Mandalay, Start your day by visiting Kuthodaw Pagoda with the superb sight of hundreds of tablets clustered around a main pagoda. Capture the color-contrasting images and you will understand why it deserves the name of the world’s largest book.
Take the elevator up to Mandalay Hill where you can get panoramic views of Kuthodaw Pagoda and capture the incredible views at dusk. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

Day 08. Mingun and U-Bein Bridge at Amarapura

After Breakfast, transfer to Mayanchan jetty to take the private chartered boat to Mingun. Worth visit pleases at Mingun are Mingun Pagoda: the biggest brick pile or the biggest unfinished pagoda, Mingun bell: the biggest ringing bell in the world and outstanding shape Mya Thein Tan pagoda: The Taj Mahal of Myanmar. Then return by boat to Mandalay. we drive to the ancient city of Amarapura in the suburbs of Mandalay, to the well-known Mahagandayon Monastery to meet the monks going about their everyday routines. After drive to U-Bein’s bridge across Taungthaman Lake. It’s the longest wooden bridge in the world, and is a great place for making silhouette images of people on foot and bicycles moving across. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

Day 09. Mandalay to Yangon By Afternoon flight

Today is very early morning start visit to the famous Pagoda; Mahamuni Pagoda (Paya Gyi). Then continue your tour by visiting the handicraft workshops such as bronze sculpture, gold leaf beating and marble stone carving. There, will learn and take the process of sculpturing. And, move to the Bank of Ayarwaddy River to see the abundant life (ways of life of physical workers). finally, transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon, hotel check-in and Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

Day 10: Departure by AM flight

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
